What is Integrative Health Coaching?

Integrative Health Coaching (IHC) is a holistic approach to health and well-being that focuses on the entire individual, considering both their physical and emotional needs. At its core, Integrative Health Coaching is about empowering individuals to make lasting health behavior changes that form the foundation of lifelong well-being. It bridges the gap between modern science or medical recommendations and an individual’s ability to integrate those recommendations into their daily lives.

With Stephanie’s extensive background in behavioral neurosciences, clinical psychology and various health coaching certifications, she brings a unique perspective to IHC.  She understands that changing a behavior pattern that developed over time can be challenging.  As an Integrative Health Coach, her expertise lies in partnering with clients by:

  • asking meaningful and thought provoking questions,
  • co-creating realistic action plans, and

This approach is rooted in the belief that every individual has the potential to realize better health through a combination of self-awareness, motivation, and actionable steps. What to Expect During a Coaching Session

Assessment Phase

The session begins with a comprehensive assessment. We’ll start by looking at the Whole Person Whole Health perspective, followed by a nutrition assessment. This phase is crucial as it lays the foundation for our coaching journey.

Data-Driven approach

As a scientist, I value data. We’ll ensure our eyes are on the same data, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding. This data-driven approach helps in setting clear, measurable goals.

Design Phase

Once the assessment is complete, we transition to the design phase. Here, we’ll review the gathered data together. You’ll choose areas you’d like to target for establishing new habits over the next three months.

Actionable Steps

With your three-month goals in mind, we’ll break them down into smaller, manageable “baby action steps.” These steps are designed to be achievable and will guide you toward your larger goals.

This is where the real change begins. You’ll start implementing the baby steps, practicing them for two weeks. After this period, we’ll reconvene to discuss your progress. We’ll celebrate your successes and address any challenges. We’ll retool and adjust if certain steps don’t work as planned, ensuring you’re always moving forward.

Throughout the coaching process, I’m here to support, guide, and empower you. Whether it’s through listening, asking questions, or offering insights, our partnership is central to the coaching experience. You can also reach out to me between sessions via phone or email if you have questions or need additional support.

Client-Centered

The coaching relationship is unique. It’s a partnership where you, the client, are at the center. Together, we’ll work to realize your optimal health vision, set actionable goals aligned with your values, and navigate any barriers to change.
